What does freedom mean to you?
Freedom… even the word feels like a deep breath on a Monday morning when your boss calls in sick. For me, freedom means the magical space where I can unapologetically be me—messy bun, loud laugh, weird playlist and all. It’s not just about doing what I want; it’s about wanting what I do.
As a kid, freedom meant eating Maggi at 11 p.m.
As a teen, it meant not having to explain everything to my family.
Now? It means not having to hide my chocolate stash or my dreams.
“Freedom is not the absence of rules, but the presence of choices.” — said no one in particular, but someone really wise must have.
It’s funny how we all chase freedom—like it’s a discount sale at a fancy mall. And once we get it, we often don’t know what to do with it. I once used my “freedom” weekend to nap for 10 hours straight and then complained I had no time to write. Classic case of ‘Free-dom’ turning into ‘Dumb-freedom’.
“Give me coffee, books, and a corner to think—and I’ll call that freedom.”
“No Wi-Fi? That’s not freedom. That’s emotional trauma.”
Two contradictory quotes. Both true.
In the end, real freedom isn’t loud. It’s a quiet power. It’s saying no without guilt. It’s dancing in the rain without checking who’s watching. It’s living the way your soul smiles.
Thought to ponder:
Are you truly free, or are you just following a different kind of routine with fewer locks?
Let freedom not be a concept you admire from afar. Let it be your everyday decision. Because the most beautiful prisons have comfy couches and Wi-Fi passwords.

Love how you add the nostalgia of Maggi! It’s not just noodles, but an emotion! Loved this detailed post too💙
