Intuition: The Voice That Says ‘Told You So’

Do you trust your instincts?

I trust my instincts, they’re sharp and sly,
A silent voice, a knowing sigh.
They nudge me gently, they prod, they tug,
A sixth sense wrapped in a cozy hug.

When clouds loom heavy, they softly warn,
“Hold your umbrella, face the storm.”
And when sunshine peeks, they wink and say,
“Go dance, my dear, seize this day!”

There was that time I skipped a meet,
When my gut screamed, “Not your seat!”
Turns out later, the air was tense,
Dodging the drama made perfect sense.

Then came the day I picked the right lane,
Avoiding a detour of stress and pain.
I smiled, “Gut, you’re my trusty guide,
Navigating life with you by my side.”

But oh, not all instincts are bright,
Sometimes they steer towards a fright.
Like the cake I baked with a “trust me” flair,
Only to find a smoky affair!

Yet most of the time, they lead me true,
A whisper of wisdom, a celestial clue.
I don’t need a map, a crystal ball,
When my instincts are my all-in-all.

So here’s to that feeling, the gut’s gentle tap,
That saved me from trouble or a well-laid trap.
A humourous friend, a guide, a star—
My instincts, my compass, just as they are.

But here’s the twist, let me confess,
My instincts are sharp, but my husband’s? Oh yes!
If mine are a solid 90% on the dot,
His hit 100%—the jackpot!

“Instincts are wisdom wrapped in silence; trust them, and they’ll never fail you.”
