In a world that claps loudly for heroes on stage,
There are men writing stories on an unwritten page.
Not all wear capes, some wear office IDs,
Some wear tired smiles after paying EMIs.
They stand like lamppostsāquiet, steady, bright,
Guiding everyone home while ignoring their own night.
They joke, āIām fine,ā with a grin ear to ear,
But their silence is louder than what we ever hear.
Heās the one who tries to open jars with pride,
Even though Google secretly helped him on the side.
He fixes everythingāfrom bulbs to broken heartsā
Yet gets lost in supermarkets like modern-day art.
He carries the pressure of āBe strong, not weak,ā
As if emotions are languages he must never speak.
But even mountains melt into rivers someday,
And men too deserve a safe place to sayā
“Iām tired. Iām human. I need a break today.”
To the fathers teaching life, one scolding at a time,
To the brothers who act tough but melt at home in rhyme,
To the husbands who stand like anchors in storms,
To the sons who grow yet keep families warmā
This day is yours, finally given its due,
A reminder: Men need appreciation too.
So letās celebrate their victories big and small,
Their unspoken battles, their unnoticed fall.
Not to glorify gender, nor raise one aboveā
But to say: āThank you for your care, courage, and love.ā
“Menās Day isnāt about superiority ā itās about seen-ness, empathy, and equality.”
š A Thought to Ponder:
If men are expected to be strong for everyone, who is allowed to be strong for them?
