I made a plan last Sunday noon,
Not coffee with friends, not Netflix soon.
Just me and me — a quiet spree,
No notifications, just honesty.
I brewed my thoughts like morning tea,
Strong, a bit bitter, but truly me.
I asked my heart, “Hey, what’s your dream?”
It whispered softly, “Don’t forget your gleam.”
I laughed at myself — oh, what a sight!
Talking to mirrors till midnight.
I found a listener so divine,
Who nodded back — that soul was mine.
Sometimes I dance with my messy mind,
Sometimes I scold it, sometimes I’m kind.
I hug my fears, I wink at pain,
We’ve been through storms — we’ll dance in rain.
They say, “Don’t talk to yourself, it’s weird.”
Well, try ignoring your thoughts — now that’s feared!
You can’t pour love from an empty cup,
So darling, fill yours first — and then rise up.
🌸 “Spending time with yourself isn’t loneliness — it’s a reunion with the person you’ve long ignored.”
💭 Thought to ponder:
If you can’t enjoy your own company, how can you expect others to celebrate your presence?

very true
