I feel things are going good, oh what a pleasant scare,
Like calm before a toddler’s tantrum — peace too rare!
I smile at joy, then squint — “Wait, what’s the catch?”
Happiness feels borrowed, like socks that don’t quite match.
All things slip like sand from hand, that’s life’s grand show,
You tighten your grip — whoosh! there it goes!
Sadness sneaks in wearing joy’s disguise,
With tissues ready and puffy eyes.
It’s tough to express what brews inside,
Some thoughts prefer a quiet hide.
What I need’s a listening ear — one that won’t interrupt,
But humans come with opinions… that’s the hiccup.
Feels heavy carrying “what others expect,”
Their dreams packed neatly in my mental backpack.
But truth be told, most of it’s not mine,
Yet I drag it along, pretending I’m fine.
No point worrying — I know that line,
Heard it from ten friends and Google online.
But ignoring it? Ha! Easier said than done,
The brain replays drama like a rerun.
Life’s complicated — that’s the tagline, no doubt,
One moment zen, next moment burnout.
So here’s my secret, silly yet true —
Just breathe in, breathe out… that’s all you can do.
And when your mind starts building a stormy queue,
Whisper softly, “Relax, we’re just passing through.” 🌧️
💭 Thought to ponder:
Sometimes, life doesn’t need solving — it just needs a deep breath and a good sense of humor.
Just Breathe… Before the Brain Starts Overthinking
