Perfection—what a fancy little trap wrapped in glitter and self-doubt!
We chase it like a butterfly, thinking if we just try a bit harder, we’ll finally catch it. But by the time we almost do, it flutters away, leaving us holding… an empty net and a missed deadline.
The truth is simple yet revolutionary: done is better than perfect.
Because perfection doesn’t exist outside Photoshop, filters, or your imagination. Meanwhile, “done” is that imperfectly beautiful little hero who actually gets things moving.
“Imperfect action is better than perfect inaction.” — Harry Truman
Think about it — your first dosa was never round, your first presentation was probably full of “ums” and “uhs,” and your first attempt at parenting came without a user manual (and still does!). Yet somehow, things turned out just fine. You got better, not by waiting for perfection, but by doing despite the imperfection.
Done is messy. Done sometimes blushes at its own spelling errors, its uneven eyeliner, or its undercooked parathas. But done has courage. Perfection just has anxiety.
“Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.” — Voltaire
We often fear judgment — “What will people think?” But the truth is, most people are too busy scrolling their own highlight reels to even notice our flaws. And the few who do? They probably haven’t finished their own “perfect” projects yet.
Progress doesn’t come from polishing. It comes from pressing “Send.”
You can always revise, rework, refine—but you can’t edit what you never start.
So, next time your inner critic whispers, “Wait till it’s perfect,” tell her politely to sip some chai and take a nap. Then go ahead and hit submit, post, or publish.
Because the world doesn’t need your perfect.
It needs your done, your real, your human.
“Finished is better than perfect. Because finished changes lives. Perfect only plans to.”
🌿 Thought to Ponder:
Perfection may win applause, but ‘done’ builds legacies. So start. Stumble. Finish. Then smile — because progress looks far better than perfection ever could.

💯…. Nice one
