What are you passionate about?
They say passion is fire. But mine? Mine is more like a warm, bubbling pot of stew—comforting, messy, sometimes spicy, but always filling.
I’m passionate about many things. In fact, I might just be an emotional multipurpose tool—like a Swiss Army knife but with more glitter and less blade.
🖋️ Writing is my escape and my anchor. I love sculpting thoughts into words the way a potter lovingly shapes clay. Even if nobody reads it, the act itself feels like therapy.
“Writing is my way of talking without being interrupted.” – Anonymous introvert, possibly me
📚 Reading books is my portal to places I may never travel and lives I’ll never live. A good book can make me laugh louder than my kids’ fart jokes (and that’s saying something), or cry harder than when I find my phone in the fridge.
“You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy books—and that’s kind of the same thing.” – Unknown but wise
🎨 Doing my kids’ projects—Yes, I admit, I sometimes end up doing more “parentwork” than “homework.” I burn myself with glue guns and lose sleep over thermocol temples. Still, when they walk into school like mini-engineers with a masterpiece, I wear an invisible crown.
“Behind every successful science project is a parent who googled ‘how to make a working volcano at 1 a.m.’”
👂 Being a listening ear—This one’s not loud or fancy, but it’s gold. I listen to people—not just their words, but their silences too. Sometimes, a “Hmm…” or “I get you” can heal more than an expensive therapy session.
“Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply.” – Stephen R. Covey
Passion, I’ve realized, isn’t about doing big things. It’s about doing small things with a big heart—and a pinch of madness.
Some people chase passion like it’s a bus that won’t stop. I believe it’s more like confetti—floating around, landing on your shoulder when you least expect it.
💭 Thought to Ponder:
“What if your passion isn’t a career, a title, or a plan… but a feeling—a quiet joy, a spark, a heartbeat that says, ‘This is me’?”
