What do you wish you could do more every day?
In the hustle and bustle of daily life, there are days when I wish I could hit the pause button and savor more moments with my children. I mean, wouldn’t it be nice to have an extra hour magically appear each day? An extra hour to watch their giggles, join their playful chaos, and maybe — just maybe — solve the mystery of how they manage to turn a tidy room into a disaster zone within minutes.
“The most precious jewels you’ll ever have around your neck are the arms of your children.”
Between meetings, deadlines, and the ever-demanding household chores, my kids often become part of my multitasking. Listening to their stories while chopping vegetables or helping them with homework while checking emails feels like a skill worthy of an Olympic medal. Yet, I yearn for those unhurried moments — playing board games without glancing at the clock, reading bedtime stories without rushing to catch up on leftover work, and watching cartoons with them without a mental to-do list running in the background.

It’s funny how children believe that parents are superheroes with endless energy and answers to all their “why” questions. Meanwhile, here I am, secretly Googling answers to their curious queries and wishing for just ten minutes of peaceful solitude. Still, the joy of seeing them grow, the little hugs, the sudden “I love yous” — they are the gentle reminders that time is fleeting and precious.
Thought to ponder: Are we so busy preparing our kids for the future that we forget to be fully present with them today? Perhaps the best gift we can give them is not just our time but our undivided attention.
