What was the best compliment you’ve received?
Who doesn’t love compliments? They are like little sprinkles of joy that brighten our day and keep us moving forward. While I have received many wonderful compliments, the one that stands out is when my friends call me the best motivator.
“Encouragement is oxygen for the soul.” – John C. Maxwell
It’s funny because I never set out to be a motivator. I just spoke from my heart, shared my experiences, and somehow, people found it inspiring. I suppose when you have juggled work deadlines, stubborn kids, unexpected kitchen disasters, and the occasional existential crisis—all before noon—you tend to develop a knack for keeping spirits high.
“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing—that’s why we recommend it daily.” – Zig Ziglar
My secret? I don’t just throw around “You can do it!” like a cheerleader at a pep rally. I listen, I empathize, and sometimes, I throw in a bit of humor. Because let’s be honest, life is too short to take too seriously. If you can laugh at your own chaos, you can handle anything.
Being called the best motivator means a lot because it tells me that my words make a difference. And isn’t that what we all want—to leave a positive mark on someone’s life?
Thought to ponder: “The best motivation comes not from words, but from how you make people feel. So, what feeling are you leaving behind?”
