Cart Full of Things or Heart Full of Memories?

Where would you go on a shopping spree?

If I ever got the golden ticket to a shopping spree, my choices would be as unpredictable as my kids’ moods—one moment a bookstore, the next a clothing store, and maybe even a sneaky visit to a cozy café (because shopping burns calories, right?).

First stop? A bookstore. Nothing beats the joy of running my fingers over crisp pages, inhaling that intoxicating new-book smell. I’d pile up novels, motivational reads, and maybe a few cookbooks (for display, of course—I’m not about to change my war zone kitchen status).

Next, fashion! But here’s the twist—I’d pick comfortable yet stylish clothes, because as a mom, my runway is the grocery aisle. “Why did I even wear white today?” is a recurring thought in my life.

A gadget store might tempt me next. A laptop for my dream of writing a book? Maybe. A smartwatch to remind me to walk rather than just think about walking? Definitely.

Finally, a quick detour to a home décor section. A swing for my future balcony-library? Yes, please!

But here’s a thought to ponder—what if the best shopping spree is one where we collect memories, not things? After all, the laughter of loved ones is a purchase that never goes out of style!
