Am I Creative? Absolutely, But Don’t Ask Me How!🤣😜

How are you creative?

How am I creative? Well, let’s just say creativity and I share a cozy bond—though, like all relationships, it’s a little complicated. I know I am creative; I mean, how else do you explain the “out-of-the-box” ideas that sneak into my head while I’m shampooing my hair? But if you ask me how, I’ll probably scratch my head and give you a sheepish smile.

Take my school days, for instance. My projects often had a little extra sparkle (sometimes literally, thanks to last-minute glitter explosions). In office activities, I added flair to mundane presentations—turning them into stories that even the sleepiest colleague couldn’t ignore. Now, with my kids’ school projects, I’ve taken creativity to a whole new level. Who else can transform cardboard boxes into castles with moats—or at least something resembling one?

As Albert Einstein wisely said, “Creativity is intelligence having fun.” And boy, have I had fun! I’ve learned to take regular tasks and sprinkle a little ingenuity on them, whether it’s crafting a science model or finding a smart way to fold laundry while chasing three kids.

But here’s a thought to ponder: Is creativity a gift, or is it just our ability to see things differently? Maybe it’s both. Either way, I believe life is too short to color inside the lines. As Maya Angelou put it, “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”

So, go ahead—add your spark, your twist, your story. Because life itself is your masterpiece!
