Do you ever see wild animals?
Exploring the untamed world of wild animals is nothing short of a magical experience. Watching them in their natural or semi-natural habitat is like stepping into a live action documentary. For me, zoos have always been like a gateway to wonderland. Every visit is a new chapter in my book of memories, and the main characters? Lions and tigers, of course! It’s exhilarating to see these majestic beasts up close, their powerful presence reminding us why they’re often called the kings of the jungle.
One unforgettable adventure took place at Bannerghatta National Park. Picture this: we were on a safari, navigating through the bear territory, when out of nowhere, a bear decided to hitch a ride on our jeep. Yes, you read that right. It hopped on and sat there, looking as if it had just booked an Uber to the last gate of its territory. While we were a mix of scared and amazed, the bear seemed unfazed, possibly thinking, “Well, these humans have good taste in transportation.” It was an encounter we’ll never forget.
More recently, during a road trip to Ooty via Bandipur National Park, we were treated to sights of elephants and deer gracefully moving amidst the dense greenery. “The wilderness holds answers to questions we have not yet learned to ask,” they say, and it’s true. Watching these creatures felt like being in the midst of a natural symphony, their every move orchestrated by the rhythm of life.
But here’s a thought to ponder: while these moments are thrilling, they also remind us of our responsibility. “Wildlife doesn’t need us; we need wildlife.” Let’s cherish these experiences but also ensure that our actions protect their homes. After all, wouldn’t it be tragic if one day all we had were memories of encounters that could never happen again?
